update - also going to use this to store the HD versions of the gravity on so you can get the gravity automatically delivered in super quality this coming year.

idea update - i just looked at my itune music library is just a shade under 50gb - if dropbox has multiple accounts binding i could host my itunes music on a private container and have my music updating and full transportable. I might just have to set that up! :)

So, i've been thinking that this stupid amount of dance music live sessions, remixes and megamixes i have from way back in 1999 should be uploaded somewhere and people help offset the price of the hosting and bandwidth and donations. I did not really know of a decent way of doing this without writing something for s3 with some kind of password and ip manager. Just thinking about it sounds fugly.

After recently playing around again with dropbox - i used it way back at the wine place for keeping copies of the layout and designs i was working on over machines but only needed to use it again last few days for too much information @orchid show which is coming back again (read: yay!)

Anyway, i noticed that they now have a $99 a year 50gb dropbox account package - i think i could fit most of my live sets and oldskool bootlegs and remixes on there in separate folders for each genre. Just to give you a background i have been collecting sets/mixes/megamixes since 1993 and i rarely listen to them now preferring something more calming - i only really listen to this stuff when i'm in the car -racing- driving down the motorway somewhere.

So, i'm setting up a donation thing, basically you donate $10 and you get unlimited access to my dropbox folder that you want. I'm not after really making money on this just to cover the dropbox subscription for the year and future years. if it goes well i might make a few 50gb accounts for different things - hmm i wonder if they do multiple account support.

Anyway, if your in - let me know. To get a rough idea of the tracks i have i'll try and find time to put together a player for you so you can get a bit of a listen.

note - all megamixes are either promo, whitelabel or were recorded live at the venue in most instances. no copyrighted material will be on here. also as it is a private invite only system your not paying for the music only the bandwidth usage. $10 donation is for a years access.
